I like these words.
They remind me of an empty stage.
A stadium the day before a game.
A song that has yet to be sung or a piece of paper with nothing yet written on it.
Or even my life when I'm not in a hurry, when I'm just soaking in the moment.
I'd love for these words to be the values that drive my writing, composing, and arranging more often.
So much potential, yet so much stillness.
Yep, I think I like these words.
About Ben Ko
Welcome to my online home base! My name is Ben Ko. I compose music for sync, write music for worship, and provide production for songwriters.
More specifically, I do one-stop work-for-hire producing, multi-instrumentals, cello and string arrangements and excel at crafting simple, introspective, restful sounds with lots of space as well as moving, slow builds in acoustic-driven song forms like indie-folk and songwriter. I'm influenced most by country, folk, Americana, classical, contemporary Christian, gospel, and hymns. The worship music I write is very functional, simple, and translates well to most congregations and types of instrumentation.
I also do pretty much everything else not named, but that is the core of my work.
